Overnight Camp Staff positions at Camp Hantesa are available! Camp Hantesa is located in Boone, Iowa and there are various positions available including Camp Counselor, Barn Staff, Day Camp Coordinator, Resident Camp Coordinator, Aquatics Director, Barn Director, Cook Staff, and more. Hantesa Camp Staff do stay onsite throughout the week and are allowed to leave camp on Saturdays with a return on Sunday. Counselors get to enjoy the best parts of summer camp with their campers. Sleep in a cabin or under the stars, shoot bows and arrows, go swimming, and finish off your week with a giant council fire. Multiple Positions! Child Care Associate- Part Time-Prairie City Before and After School Care- Prairie City, Iowa –
$7.25 – $8.00/hour (not to exceed 36 hours per week)
The Child Care Associate position is a direct care staff member whose primary responsibility is supervision and interaction with students. This staff will work as a team to encourage educational growth among our students though structured time and free play activities. Multiple Positions Available. Must be 16 Years or older to apply.
$125/week (20-40 hours per week)
The program internship position will run from early September-May with the option to stay for the summer if mutually agreed upon. The interns will assist in planning and executing Hantesa day camp programs during the fall, winter, and spring months. Duties will also include assisting with other Camp Fire Iowa programming such as family camps, maintaining the grounds and facilities and assisting with hosting user groups. The interns will pick up invaluable experience in programming, marketing, and facility management that can be a springboard to a long time career in camping.
