Camp Hantesa is located in Boone, Iowa and there are various positions available including Camp Counselor, Barn Staff, Day Camp Coordinator, Resident Camp Coordinator, Aquatics Director, Barn Director, Cook Staff, and more. Hantesa Camp Staff do stay onsite throughout the week and are allowed to leave camp on Saturdays with a return on Sunday. Counselors get to enjoy the best parts of summer camp with their campers. Summer Day Camp staff positions are open in Ames and Des Moines for Summer 2015! Qualified staff members are energized every day to work with campers and share a passion for learning through experience. These positions do require staff to be outdoors throughout the day and to actively engage with all youth throughout the entire programming period. Site Director- Prairie City Wrap Around ; Prairie City, Iowa (2015- 2016 School Year)

Camp Fire Heart of Iowa  is accepting resumes for Preschool Wrap site director for our program located in Prairie City Iowa. Staff is responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where social and self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged and individuality respected. You may be asked to assist with providing snack, homework help, as well as be willing to lead small group activities.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience working with youth
Experience in supervising staff
Excellent organizational and communication skills
High moral character and integrity
Must pass criminal background check

Meet all Requirements as Site Director though DHS.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
College credit in child development, education, or related field

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Ability to manage and direct assigned Out of School Enrichment programs for youth and families at-risk
Ability to coordinate and provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where social and self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged and individuality respected
Ability to train and supervise staff and volunteers
Ability to organize and maintain administrative systems
Ability to work with other organizations and agencies
Ability to work with school age youth with maximum of 20 youth per group
Good public relations
Ability to communicate with a diverse population
Ability to lift 40 pounds, repeatedly

WORK HOURS AND LOCATIONS
20-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, typically 7:45pm - 3:30pm

BEFORE / AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM ASSOCIATE- MULTIPLE LOCATIONS 
Camp Fire Heart of Iowa is accepting resumes for before and after school staff for our before  and after school programs located in Des Moines (Sparks Middle School Club and Wohelo After Care), Prairie City Before and After Care, Prairie City Preschool Wrap- Around. The before/ after school staff is responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where social and self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged and individuality respected. You may be asked to assist with providing snack, homework help, and attend field trips as well as be willing to lead small group activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience working with youth
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Must pass a criminal background check

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
College credit in child development, education, or related field

Associate or Bachelors Degree in child development, education or related field
