Start the 2015-2016 Camp Fire Club season off with a visit to the Blank Park Zoo for "Night Eyes"! Come with your club or come to learn about our club programs! Join us to see all of the magical characters, take a ride on the train and gather as many sweet treats as you can! Don't forget to wear your scary costume! (No Animals on Display)

Come spend your afternoon with friends and family at Camp Hantesa! Camp Fest is an annual free family event for all! Come experience the fun that your campers get to all summer with archery, the climbing wall, a pony ride, camp crafts, gaga, swimming at more! We will also be grilling out for lunch and providing ice cream for dessert! Don't miss out!
Please join us at the Windsor Heights Community Center for our fourth annual Absolutely Incredible Kid Day event to help us celebrate kids and to recognize great kids from within Central Iowa that make an impact in their communities each day. We will have a silent auction, great speakers, and some Absolutely Incredible Kids! Help us recognize these youth leaders and raise a little money to support Camp Fire's youth programs throughout Central Iowa. Individual seats are $25/each or a table of 8 is $200. The Camp Fire Fun Run is an annual event open to children and families of all ages. It is a fundraiser for Camp Fire youth in Club programs but it is also a family friendly event in which kids of all ages can participate in carnival games and gym activities to promote health and fitness. Admission into the event is free but there is a small fee for game tickets and health snacks throughout the event. Please call the Camp Fire Service Center with any questions (515)274-1501.
Nominate an Absolutely Incredible Person
Do you know an absolutely incredible person age 12 or older who has helped weather a family crisis? A student or adult who shares his or her skills or hobbies with others? Complete this form to nominate your “Absolutely Incredible Kid” or person. Judges will select persons to be recognized at Camp Fire’s “Absolutely Incredible Kid” Award Breakfast on March 26, 2015 at Windsor Heights Community Center.
The Camp Fire Candy Sculpture Contest is an annual event held at Merle Hay Mall to kick-off our candy sales! Youth in Clubs sell candy once a year as their main fundraiser. Most of our youth (even those NOT in Club), use these funds to attend our summer Day Camp or Resident Camp programs. Companies and organizations from the community come together to build fun and creative sculptures using candy and other sweet treats.
