School Year Programs
Play. Learn. Belong.Camp Fire Iowa’s school-year programs provide meaningful out-of-school time where kids can explore the outdoors, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. Whether after school or on no-school days, youth enjoy hands-on activities, leadership development, and a welcoming space that encourages creativity, inclusion, and connection to nature. Programs are available across central Iowa for grades K–8.
School Day off camps
School Day Off camps bring all the fun of summer camp into one action-packed day! Each day includes transportation from designated community sites listed below to and from Camp Hantesa, a hot lunch, and a full day of counselor-led activities!
overnight camps
Ever wish that you didn’t have to wait a full year to come back to camp? Well, now you don’t have to! Join us for our School-Year Overnight Programs at Camp Hantesa! Reconnect with old friends (and make some new ones!) with traditional camp activities, new games, and plenty of outdoor fun! Multiple drop-off locations available.
Before and after school
Camp Fire Heart of Iowa is bringing all the fun of camp directly to Central Iowa school districts in Story and Jasper counties with their Before- and After-School Program (BASP) called Sparks! This program is action-packed ith a fun, safe, affordable and engagng environment where kids can be kids!
