Camp Brave

About

Designed to support youth who have been impacted by crime, this program provides a safe and nurturing environment where campers can engage in traditional camp activities while also receiving support tailored to their unique experiences.

The camp is held at Camp Hantesa in Boone, Iowa, and includes activities such as swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises. In addition to more typical camp activities such as swimmig, hiking, arts and crafts, Camp Brave incorporates sessions focused on coping strategies, resilience building, and peer support, facilitated by trained staff and counselors.
