Jenna Turner

Communications & Strategic Partnerships Director

Jenna joined the Camp Fire Heart of Iowa team in February 2024 as the Communications & Strategic Partnerships Director. Jenna is originally from Northeast Nebraska/Kansas and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Sioux Falls in Secondary Education and History.

Jenna started her journey with Camp Fire as a camp counselor for Camp Outrageous in the summer of 2011, and returned as the Site Director in 2013. Beginning in 2014, Jenna joined the professional staff as a Program Director, overseeing the Camp Fire Club program and Community Center Day Camps. In 2016, Jenna began working as the Senior Program Director overseeing programs in both Des Moines and Ames until 2018. Jenna rejoins the Camp Fire Heart of Iowa staff after working in non-profit children’s mental health in a Caseworker role and later spending two years as part of the Development team.  In her time outside the office, she enjoys playing recreational sports, spending time with friends and family, and cuddling her kitty Lousie the Big Cheese.

In her role, Jenna oversees marketing and communications, and helps promote and implement Camp Fire Fundraising strategies.
