Camp Fire Heart of Iowa is bringing all the fun of camp to the Prairie City Monroe Community School District with their Before & After-School Program (BASP) called Sparks! This program is action packed with a fun, safe, affordable, and engaging environment where kids can be kids! Along the BASP, Sparks will provide care for enrolled students for school day off days. Both Sparks Monroe and Sparks Prairie City are licensed by the Department of Human Services.

Holidays: The program will be CLOSED on the following dates:

Labor Day: Monday, September 2nd, 2024

Thanksgiving: Wednesday, November 27th – Friday, November 29th, 2024

Christmas: Tuesday, December 24th – Friday, December 27th, 2024

New Years: Wednesday, January 1st, 2025

Memorial Day: Monday, May 26th, 2025

Winter Break: Monday, December 23rd – Friday, January 3rd*

Spring Break: Friday, March 14th – Friday, March 21st*

While there is not before- and after-school care provided these days, we have full School Day Off Camps running a portion of these days.

*No BASP tuition is charged for these weeks.
