Jocelyn joined Camp Fire in January of 2024 as the Program Director. Jocelyn is originally from Northern Indiana. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana State University where she also minored in Non-Profit Leadership.

Jocelyn has over a decade of work experience in the camping world; she has held many positions at several different summer camps and school year outdoor education programs. She enjoys anything that involves being outside: hiking, camping, skiing, boating, etc. She loves exploring and learning about National and State Parks. If Jocelyn isn’t outside, she can be found playing card games, climbing, volunteering, or road tripping.

As Program Director, Jocelyn oversees the Des Moines school year programs, the Sparks program in Prairie City, and the Des Moines summer day camps. Jocelyn is excited to help staff and participants find their confidence and their community.
